RIP - Rue McClanahan

Rue McClanahan, the youngest of The Golden Girls, died June 3, 2010 at age 76 due to a stroke. The smash hit show ran on NBC between 1985 and 1992. McClanahan's death leaves Betty White as the only surviving Golden Girl.

RIP- Dennis Hopper

I knew as I got older that every year I'd hear about the passing of more and more famous people. Some I wouldn't care about others I may have grown to admire their work but it is always disappointing when someone who has made such an impact and starred in some of your film favs passes away.

RIP - Gary Coleman

It's no laughing matter and I'll not go into a bunch of funny one liners and puns though we all know the potential is here. On May 28th, 2010, Gary Coleman passed away from a brain hemorrhage after falling, hitting his head, and suffering an epidural hematoma.

RIP Frank Frazetta

I have yet to confirm it but many websites (including the National Post) are reporting that legendary fantasy illustrator Frank Frazetta has passed away today due to a stroke.

Probably best known for his work on Conan the Barbarian and Tarzan, Frazetta had a unique style that depicted muscular men and scantily clad women fighting ferocious monsters which has become a mainstay in the fantasy and scifi genres ever since.

RIP Zelda Rubinstein

Zelda Rubinstein, possibly best known for her role in the Poltergeist series, passed away Wednesday at the age of 76.

The actor was hospitalized two months ago after suffering a mild heart attack and rumours had been spreading across the net that she was close to death but her agent, Eric Stevens, has now confirmed she passed away of natural causes at Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Los Angeles.

She will be greatly missed. Her likeness and voice made her one of a kind.
