Toronto After Dark Film Festival - Day 4: Alien vs Ninja

Monday was to be the big red carpet event with Eli Roth being in attendance for The Last Exorcism. Unfortunately, I had to pick someone up from the airport and was not able to make it. But incase you didn't check it out when it hit theaters, here's the trailer. From what I heard, people quite enjoyed the film.

Toronto After Dark Film Festival - Day 3: Cargo, RoboGeisha and High School

Sunday was filled with movie madness sporting 3 films for the After Dark crowds. The matinee film was a scifi film called Cargo. Not getting too many films of that genre these days, I was very much looking forward to seeing this one. I was even more intreagued when they read a letter from the Director before the movie started. Seems the film took 8 years to complete and only cost $2 million. Cargo is an obvious piece of love which is something that is missing from most of the Hollywood productions.

Toronto After Dark Film Festival - Day 2, Part 2: Doghouse & Evil in the Time of Heroes

Saturday at Toronto After Dark is zombie appreciation day. That's right, this film festival appreciates the undead like you wouldn't believe giving them discounts on admission to a double bill of zombie films. What other film festival gives you that? As far as I know, none!

Toronto After Dark Film Festival 2010 - Day 1: The Last Lovecraft

The Toronto After Dark Film Festival is back with yet another year of cinematic mayhem. This year is filled with what I can honestly say is the best lineup of films to date. Just check out this year's trailer. I'd also like to take a moment to say how impressed I am with the staff/volunteers this year as there were no delays, problems, etc. with regards to getting tickets, passes, etc. prior to the opening gala screening (as far as I could tell) which has been a problem in the past.

Toronto After Dark Film Festival announces 2010 lineup!

After a few delays, the lineup for the 2010 Toronto After Dark Film Festival has officially been announced. Though I've already seen a few of the films I can honestly say, I'm extremely pleased with the selection this year.  Though it is a little heavy on the horror side (it usually is) and there are several films with a similar feel/subject matter, I can't say I'm displeased with any of the choices.

Toronto After Dark Film Festival 2010 news!

I've been in talks with a few people close to the festival about whether it was actually happening this year and they reassured me it was. Mind you, I still hadn't heard anything official and I'm used to getting a tidal wave of information about the festival well in advance (heck over the course of the year short of the couple months after the festival). Well the creator and all round good guy, Adam Lopez, has made it official.
