In tragic news, Brittany Murphy has died at the age of 32. The actress went into cardiac arrest early morning on Sunday December 20, 2009 in LA, and, despite being rushed to hospital, was pronounced dead upon arrival.

She will be remembered by most for her roles in Clueless alongside Alicia Silverstone, her much talked about role in Girl, Interrupted and her roles in both Just Married with then-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher and 8 Mile alongside rapper Eminem. But genre fans will know her for the smashing performance she put forth in the thriller Don't Say A Word and the Robert Rodriguez adaptation of the comic of the same name, Sin City.

Beautiful and possibly just coming into her own when it came to showing just how talented she was, Brittany Murphy will be missed by many. RIP
