Halcyon Entertainment bought the Terminator rights 2 years ago for $25M from Mario Kassar. Apparently, a dispute with Pacificor, the entity which put up the capital for the purchase, has resulted in Halcyon filling for Chapter 11.
The sale is being conducted by FTI Capital Advisors and many parties including Sony Pictures and Summit Entertainment are interested. I wonder if James Cameron is going to get in on this.
