twitch is reporting that a new Gremlins film is in the works.  And it looks as though it's going to get the 3D treatment.  I'm ok with films getting released in 3D.  Some of them I'll check out in the format, others I'll stick to the 2D version.  Gremlins on the other hand, will be a sure fire 3D hit in the campiest ways.  There is so many great 3D gags you can do with a Gremlins film. 

Considering Joe Dante (Director of Gremlins) did his last film, The Hole, in 3D (with great skill), I sure hope he's given the wheel to Direct the third installment in the franchise.  At this time, no Director has been chosen.
