The Sitges Film Festival has announced it's opening film for 2010! If you don't know what Sitges is, I think it would be safe to say that you could consider it the largest and most important genre event in Europe!

Opening the festival on October 7th will be the Guillermo Del Toro produced Julia's Eyes directed by Guillem Morales. Los ojos de Julia is the terrifying odyssey of a woman (Belén Rueda) suffering from a degenerative eye disease who is obsessed with finding out the truth behind her twin sister’s death.

As well, Let Me In directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield anyone?), the American remake of the Swedish vampire hit film Let The Right One In, will kick off their Official Fantastic Selection.
