And in our final installment before we tell you who the winners were, we take a look at the music category.  This being more “pop” music, I can’t say I follow most the nominees but I’ll make my pics anyways. If you haven’t already, you can vote for them here.

Favorite Male Artist
Eminem
Jason Mraz
John Mayer
Keith Urban
Tim McGraw

Looks like a few of these are probably country artists so I wouldn’t exactly be familiar with their music.  But I do know Eminem and though I find his...

ShockTillYouDrop.com is reporting that the big screen adaptation from Rogue Pictures of the comic Hack/Slash from Devil's Due Publishing has yet another writer involved in the project.

Stephen Susco (The Grudge, The Grudge 2) is the latest writter attached after Justin Marks, Todd Lincoln, Ben Magid and Martin Schenk. It is unknown whether it is a complete re-write or if he's just coming in to revise what's already been done.

Edward Woodward, best known for his role in the 1973 film The Wickerman, has passed away. He died in hospital surrounded by his family in England. He has a very large catalogue of roles in almost 100 projects including the great film Hot Fuzz. He will truly be missed. RIP

Continuing with our coverage of the 2010 People’s Choice Awards we move into the television categories. I don’t get to catch a lot of television with my hectic life but I do try and catch some tv time whenever I can. If you haven’t already, you can vote for them here.

Favorite TV Drama
CSI
Grey’s Anatomy
House
Lost
NCIS

Hands down I’m going with Lost here.  I’m sure the other shows are fine but there’s two doctor...

My pick goes to Johnny Depp with Pitt coming in a close second.  I don’t think the others really measure up when it comes to these two actors.

The wire is abuzz with reports that the rights to the Terminator franchise will be auctioned off after Halcyon Entertainment filled for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Halcyon Entertainment bought the Terminator rights 2 years ago for $25M from Mario Kassar. Apparently, a dispute with Pacificor, the entity which put up the capital for the purchase, has resulted in Halcyon filling for Chapter 11.

The sale is being conducted by FTI Capital Advisors and many parties including Sony Pictures and Summit Entertainment are interested. I wonder if James Cameron is going to get in...

Rough Cut

Directed by: Hun Jang
Cast: Su-hyeon Hong, Ji-Hwan Kang, Chang-Seok Ko, Ji-seob So
Korea, 113 min
Toronto Theatrical Premiere

Rough Cut is much more than the action film the trailer makes it out to be. The film is full of comedy, drama, and a journey of learning and development of two unlikely partners. Though directed by Hun Jang, the film is a Kim Ki-Duk Films release. This name should be familiar to fans of arthouse Korean film as Kim Ki-Duk directed such films as Samaritan Girl, 3-iron, Time, and The Isle. Though I'm...

Must Love Death

Directed by: Andreas Schaap
Cast: Sami Loris, Manon Kahle, Jeff Burrell, Peter Farkas, Philipp Rafferty, Lucie Pohl, Katjana Gerz, Tobias Schenke
Germany, 90 min
Toronto Theatrical Premiere

Must Love Death attemps to combine a romcom with torture porn. While that might sound like a good idea, the film fails at doing either genre justice. The romcom elements are flat and seem to act as nothing more than give reason for the story to take place. The torture porn elements are ok, with some...

Someone’s Knocking At The Door

Directed by: Chad Ferrin
Cast: Noah Segan, Andrea Rueda, Ezra Buzzington, Elina Madison, Jon Budinoff, Ricardo Gray, Silvia Spross
USA, 80 min
Canadian Theatrical Premiere

The trailer for this film promises nothing more than some bad looking low budget fare and as such, I wasn't expecting much from it. There would be nothing more than a lot of violence, blood and cheap thrills in order to make up for the technical difficiencies. Of course, this is also exactly what I...
